The Battle of Baltimore during the War of 1812 (which led to our National Anthem) is a perfectly good thing to commemorate on a commemorative coin.

I am proud to say that in my only visit to Yankee Stadium I witnessed the Yankees give up 7 runs in the 1st inning (only the 4th time that has ever happened there) on their way to a 12-2 drubbing.

If this is supposed to commemorate the Battle of Baltimore and the shelling of Fort McHenry/star spangled banner, they've got it coming out two years too early. They are talking about having the coin in 2012, but the Battle of Baltimore and the shelling of Fort McHenry was Aug 24th 1814.
