Is there a thread dedicated to star notes?
I couldn't find one, as many as people find, there should be a thread strictly for sharing your star notes.
I received this in my pay from employer. I will be spending it. Screenshot_20240701_214318_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20240701_214324_Gallery.jpg

If I get a common star note ( newer, no special #s), I spend it also. Especially if I get a $100. That goes towards a utility bill.
I have a few of them but older. Here's just one of them:

Nice and it looks to be in decent condition. I keep every star note that I find. I can’t help myself. :)

That's half the grocery bill in this house. I'd rather eat. thumb.gif

My sister-in-law owns and manages a small business. She found this mis-cut (upper right), star note $20 bill. We sent it to PMG and it came back un-slabbed due to "Questionable Authenticity". Ran it past people here in the forum and nobody could understand quite why, so far as we can tell it is real. Who knows?

In the past, we have seen examples of people buying uncut sheets from the Mint and cutting them up to make "error" notes. The fact that yours is a "star" note, and the Mint does not currently sell $20 uncut sheets (I don't know if they ever did) adds to the intrigue. Did PMG indicate they could not authenticate that it was an "error", or they could not authenticate the note as genuine?

I called and was told that the grader had not made any useful notes about the determination. Kind of a problem with TPGs in general, they either slab it or they don't, but none of them seem to feel obligated to provide feedback on stuff like this. :(

That's an interesting one because it contains part of the printing of the adjacent bill.
