Don't know much about paper money but i have two star notes. A 2009 20 dollar star note and a 2006 1 dollar star note. Are they worth anything?

As krispy has stated pic are needed to give you an accurate value but in the mean time if you can list the serial numbers then we can get the ball rolling.

If the serial number on your $20 note starts with "I" than it is not a series 2009, it is a series 2006. Series 2009 serials ($5 denominations and up) start with the letter J.

Anyway, both of your notes are from common (3.2m) runs, and unless they are in perfect, uncirculated condition, they are probably only worth face, which is usually the case for any modern "collectible" note.

Stars are neat to find though, so congrats on finding them. You may want to search eBay for completed auction listings for notes like yours, to see what they have been going for, lately.

the twenty dollar bill is uncirculated because i got it out of an ATM machine

Unfortunately simply getting it from an ATM machine would not make the note hit the criteria for an uncirculated grade. Without pictures of the note the grading is subjective and we can only guess where it would land on the paper money grading scale.
