I have noticed some places that some dollars have a star. But do you even find these in circulation? Pic: http://www.coinscurrency.com/currency/20/13c.jpg
turned in a roll of halfs last week to try and buy more but the bank said they had none so i asked for cash, lady gave me a clean crisp ten dollar bill and it had a star needless to say i walked out of there satisfied.
I keep all my one's, two's and five's that I find in circulation. They are somewhat common. Love when I find them in bank straps, unc.
usually there are less star notes printed than non-stars, so they tend to have a greater value, but this, like anything else, is dependent on the what the buyer is willing to pay, condition and scarcity. as there are less of them typically printed, less tend to survive over time and even fewer in pristine condition.
