Stanton Collection?

    I recently bought a 1973 40% silver Ike from a seller on ebay. It was advertised as coming from the "Stanton Collection". What was the Stanton Collection? Why was it broken up?

    Can't swear to it but my guess would be that they are coins that belong or belonged to JT Stanton, one of the authors of the Cherrypicker's Guide.
