Standard Catalog Of World Paper Money Books

Hello, want to buy all of the current Standard Catalog Of World Paper Money books. I emailed the publisher requesting they send me a list of the current publications but they haven't responded. Amazon sells a bewildering number of these books.

Would appreciate replies listing the current publications.

From what I can glean, "current" editions are:
1. Specialized: 11th Ed, 2009
2. General: 12th Ed, 2008, but 13th Ed coming out in Oct 2010
3. Modern: 16th Ed, 2010

Personally I would get them on DVD rather than paper if at all possible (and of course if it fits your working style).

Thanks, I believe all of them ship with DVDs. Will verify. I'd like to ave both pb book and dvd.

 

Just called the publisher, Krause Books and was told none of them include the DVD.

I'll check Amazon prices again.

 

Yeah, at the Krause site it looks to me like the DVD and the book are sold as separate items. Though I have the 2008 Modern Issues volume and you're right the book came with the disk slipped in. I suspect they've figured out that they can sell folks both flavors for more...

I purchased both the General (12th edition) and the Modern (15th edition) last year direct from the publisher (excellent service even so far as Thailand) and they both came with the CD included.

 

very confusing. on amazon at least one of them includes a dvd but now i can't find it.

 

It's not a DVD, it's a CD-ROM or whatever the current equivalent is. (I still prefer floppy disks!).

Pretty sure they ALL come with them. I got the modern 1961-current edition for Christmas last year and it came with the Disk.

I prefer the paper version myself!

Occasionally on Krause's Facebook page they hold contests where you could win all three versions on disk. I have not entered because I want the paper version

 

I'll check out the Krause Facebook page. Personally, I like both versions.
