please let me know quick, as this is an auction lot, i see stars, figures faces etc, but it just might be my mind playing tricks on me, is this a major find, or just junk, vendor wants 30.00 for it, what do you guys think, vice job with medals or foreign coins, or real, ?? all objects and lettering is visible the correct way so not a mirror of an image////

If you wanna spend your hard earned $$$ on garbage, then by all means go for it. The coin in question is not even a "Vice job". It has been damaged probably by some sort of acidic/corrosive substance.

thank you, i had been thinking and looking at this item for 2 days now, and was very interested, because, well, ya never know, sometimes things slip by, i have an ngc coin with trails, that one slipped the graders, lol but they were probably doing 60,000 of the same coin, and fatigue makes mistakes..so thought maybe this one was a foreign stamp over a penny, thanks to you guys i saved 20.00 thanks

What do you mean by trails?

If a coin is sent only get graded that will be all the coin gets. You need to pay an extra fee for attribution of a mint error or variety. They don't do that for free. Understand? So it's not a mistake on their part. They just weren't paid to give you all the information.

oh, ok, i just thought a ms69 proof like grade on slab, would of noticed a 1/16 inch trail from the top over lincolns head..i saw it right AWAY, so what i meant was, they see 50k of the same penny for "first strike, prooflike circulation coin', OVER AND OVER, i think they are going to miss something is all
