Meaning companies besides the US Mint counterstamped them in celebration.
    You're welcome!

Yes… I have some stamped coins and that’s exactly why I stated PM lol. My junior high years. Thanks again.

How many were stamped? I assume different types of coins.

Not stamped but counter stamped. The mint produced the Cents and a separate company added both of those counter stamps after it left the mint. This was made for the 200th anniversary of the nation. I’m not sure exactly how many counter stamped coins I have but it’s quite a few. I have more elongated coins though, over 200 at last count. Lol

Well I’m glad to find one. Or have one. In dad’s. I guess we would not know how many were stamped. As I told Paddy above I did not think the mint did it. I have some stamped coins that a friend sent me. I’m glad to have one of these. It is part of history. Thanks for the info. And no doubt you have many sir lol! :)

Great year! The year I was born. Just not good for Lincolns, they were all blah looking, mushy bag marked, don't age or tone well. I could go on. I have been looking for a nice one for my set since I started collecting.

I have not touched it. As in wiped etc. Online I saw some nice ones. It’s a keeper for the history for sure. Ty!
