Ricky.... I'm truly saddened that I didn't meet you. Another time? It hangs in the balance my friend. We shall indeed cross paths and that is a good thing.....:)

I realised last night just how close we came to meeting. You won certificate number 88, one of my pages won certificate number 89. I was with him so we must have been only a few feet apart for the drawing.

Do the pages have any interest in coin collecting? Or were they just tryin to make money?

The four pages that traveled into Boston each day were collectors. I did not offer it to any child I knew unless they were a collector. The others were mostly there just because their parent was there as a dealer or an ANA employee. I think letting them page is a way to keep them out of their hair. A few of them collected but most of them come back to me if they got a coin as a tip and ask me if I wanted to buy it. Most of it was junk but I gave them a little for it and they will go in the fodder for my scout program. The four that were with me are begging me to find a way to get them to Chicago next year.

My son was there because he wanted to make money for a new computer. That didn't stop him from convincing me to buy him a beautifully toned Lincoln cent for him from Charmy. He also got a nice roman coin as a tip from 900fine's wife that he loves.
I just found out that after seeing the toned Lincoln he went to the YN Auction and tried to win every lot that was listed as "toned". He was out bid on every one but he still had fun.

Cool! I am a very passionate collector myself!

    Richard:

WOW..indeed we must have been. I had to stand in line to pay the $50 so it is possible we were right next to one another..LOL

As harsh as this sounds, I spoke with Heritage about selling the entire collection this coming year. I need to call Michael M back to discuss this with him.
I am growing tired and pondering this consideration.

OMG! I can't imagine you detached from your amazing collection! Sorry the PMG meeting didn't work out. Maybe it's a sign that you won't have to do the unthinkable!
