I read that Spinks will be using 3D imaging. So are the old ways of grading with guides and a glass/loupe getting close to the rear view mirror if a collector can just look at a quality 3D image and decide if the eye-appeal is whimsical enough for the moment?
Le me know when they offer full simultaneous control over 3D viewing angle and light direction, so you can check luster. (That won't be coming any time soon; it would take a supercomputer per user to support it today, and it's likely to be at least a decade or two before it's really practical.)
