I picked up a couple of rolls of the president dollar, first to look at and second to spend and watch the reaction on their faces accepting the new coin, everybody at the different conveinient stores I went had the same reaction, oh that's pretty or neat, no takers on this but I said that I would sell them some for buck twenty five, at the yard sales they would say, oh wow, I didn't even know they were making these, these go into the keep jar, wound up spending 23 of them today. just thought I would share some of the experiences with the new coin. I made change for a five at work yesterday. I had four 1 dollar bills and I gave this young fella one of the new dollars. I don't think this guy got what I had given him at first. He just starred at it, wow'd and mumbled something about not spending it. I'm going to have a lot of fun spending these coins. I got a roll from my bank and only found 4 that Washington's face didn't look like it had been pushed through a pane glass window. Too many contact marks. I did find one that has only one hit at the hair line and isn't too distracting. I'm going to start looking through all the rolls I can get my hands on. I'd like to have some great examples for face value.
