Plz, post your tried and proven ACETONE dip or cleaning method's.
I don't believe in "cleaning", but have heard that an acetone dip and a very careful dabbing w/ a cue tip? Any thoughts?
Thx, as always, just learning. :)

After cleaning, give the coin a final rinse with clean acetone to remove suspended contaminants. I dry with spray duster for electronics or camera parts. It is an inert gas and really seems to work well. Be sure to package your coin immediately after such cleaning. Acetone will remove any protective layer of dirt or oils that might have been protecting the coin from toning. Copper coins, especially.

Q-tips work OK for BU and circ coins, but never for proof coins. Even the slightest rubbing with a q-tip can leave hairline scratches on proof fields. These will usually not be noticed on frosty BU or circulated coins, but they might be there as well.

DON'T use a q-tip or paper-towel or a Kleenex....I have and they will leave little marks all over the coin...better yet...if you have a coin that needs to be cleaned...set it aside and sell it and buy a better one.
