What is a special strike and if this isnt then what kind of penny is it does it have any value?

I downloaded the pcgs coin prices app and it has a section that is called special strike and the picture looks just like my penny but a differant year

A special strike, is when the mint makes a coin other than the normal. Normal being business and proof strikes. There were no special strikes in 1963 that I know of.
Your coin appears to have been plated or spray painted, and is worth a penny.

I have a few others where they look like they have an extra layer could those be spray painted too ?
