Our local car wash gives out dollar coins from the change machine so I threw in a $20 bill outcomes the Susan B’s, Presidential‘s, and Sacs. Well, you know each coin must be examined before going into the car wash machine. Surprise, surprise surprise as Gomer Pyle would say a speared eagle. Unfortunately, the coin has a scratch on it but that’s OK. I still found one for the bucket list. upload_2023-7-7_10-26-35.jpeg upload_2023-7-7_10-26-35.jpeg

Looks like a plating blister below the wing to me.

I see what you’re seeing…. I think you’re on to something here. I’m not an expert though, just really good at scrolling up and down between your coin and the other pic. I have my fingers crossed for you here.

My phone sucks at taking pics.!! If this is a plating blister that would be pretty amazing that it would line up exactly with the die gouges of the speared eagle.

The correct name is - Wounded Eagle
The other is for the Speared Bison.
    You've mixed it up.

Someone must of been drinking a bit too much when they put that description. It's incorrect.

I'm talking about the line from the "D" in Dollar up to the wing.

Or maybe not enough to drink! I knew that would spark a flame. I seen that before I posted and was like what?

I'm lost, isn't it just a scratch on the op's coin?

I totally agree. Found this on coincollecting.com:
The 2000 P Wounded Eagle Die Variety is an uncommon and valuable Sacagawea coin that would be a great addition to any collection. The wounded eagle die variety of the Sacagawea dollar coin is a result of a die gouge that makes it look like a spear or an arrow is piercing the breast of the eagle.
