Terrible pictures aside. Please Take a stab/guess at grade range. I understand why so many say this is a tough coin to grade.

This is the main coin I collect. Not the best pics... but detail is there on shoulders and headdress. Cannot tell about luster. I would say AU58-MS61.

I'd go with 58 , but agree with jwitten that it may go 61 with the tpgs . A nice honest coin .

    A nice clean coin. AU-58/MS-60.

My guesses would be the 25D may go MS63 and the 28 is 58-61.

They both seem AU 55-58 to me.

The 1928 looks like a MS61 and the 1925 looks like an AU58.

I can't get a feel for luster or much on the coins. My best swag would be AU to low MS. And I still could be off.

    I would reverse that.

Maybe it's the lighting, but the 1928 appears to have the full zig zag lines in the head dress. I am also wondering if both these coins are genuine.

Also, the knot/crescent just below the zigzag lines is more bold on the 1928.

I think it is the lighting. I think the 25-D looks better. And I would be willing to put money on both being real.

I know, lets just ask chromerunner, he'll know! Ha, ha! By the way, I don't bet, I am no good at it, sorry.

As is common with this series, the head bonnet and feathers are showing slight signs of wear and that will hold them back.

Agreed. Now if we can just convince jwitten. Ha, ha!

This is a tough series to grade. Until I posted my guesses people didn't even know there were two different coins;)

Tough to tell in pictures if it is wear or weak strike. I have some MS63 and MS64 that tricked people.

This is a series I would never guess by pictures! But just for fun, I will go 55 and 53

Numerous bag marks around the field and legend, the cheek is gouged pretty bad. Looks like some wear on the high points of the eagle too and really chopped up reverse.

    AU53 to 55.
