    SPAIN, Balearic Islands. Ferdinand VII. 1808-1833. AR 5 Pesetas (39mm, 27.09 gm, 12h). Mallorca mint. Dated 1823. FERN.7º P.L.G.D.DIOS REY D.ESPAN.EYND., coat-of-arms; 5 P flanking shield; all within ornate frame / YSLAS/BALEARES/1823 in three lines across field; all within wreath within ornate frame. KM L9.2. Good VF, toned.

    SPAIN, Gerona. Ferdinand VII. 1808-1833. AR Duro - 5 Pesetas (41mm, 26.65 gm, 12h). Spanish insurgency against French occupation. Dated 1808. FER/VII in two lines; all within arched incuse / GNA/1808/UN DURO in three lines; all within bell-shaped incuse. Hand-reeded borders. KM L41. VF, toned.
    Struck by anti-French Spanish insurgents during the Peninsular War (1808-1814).
