Is their a price guide for spanish cobbs? I figure if it is from a shipwreak it will the command a high premium. So how do you price the other cobbs?

I use the Krause catalog myself. But to find actual values you'll have to research auctions and ebay etc to see what they're actually selling for. And i mean selling for, not just what people list them for.

Not all shipwreck coins command high premiums. In fact, many of them sell at a discount. At least to people who know what's going on. Yeah, the uneducated often pay high premiums for shipwreck coins. But then people buy the gold plated crap on TV too. Knowledgeable collectors do not.

That said, there are some shipwreck coins that are worth a premium. But you have to which coins those are. In some cases the entire mintage of a coin when down in a shipwreck, and those are typically more valuable. As I said it requires a certain level of knowledge.
