Please help, I am not sure of the descriptions of the following coins, or grades, or ? values? Thanks anyone and everyone. The first 5 files are attached, I will add 2 more in a second. Thanks again, all. Frank The first file, just .jpg is dated 1747, and someone notated the flip as Mexico (?) about dime size, so ? 1 reale?
Hi Frank, the second picture you posted is of a Real or 1 Real from 1807 #KM 81 mint mark Mo- Mexico City Mint - .903 silver, assayers initials TH. As for the value my catalog is a bit out dated so the prices may have changed, but here's what they are in my catalog: VG 3.00, F 7.50, VF 15.00, XF 60.00. I don't have a coin catalog from the 1700 hundreds to help with the first coin. As for the other coins I would need better images. Lou
Cool coins! http://www.coins.nd.edu/ColCoin/ColCoinIntros/Sp-milled.intro.html This website doesn't have values but it has alot of info that may help you identify the coins.
The first coin is a half reale from Mexico, 2nd is also a half reale from Mexico, 3rd appears to be a 1 reale from Mexico but it is so worn I can't swear to the mm, 4th appears to be a 2 reales from Mexico but I won't swear to authenticity because of the assayer's mark - I don't know of any DA, the last coin you pictured (in 2nd post) is also a 1 reale from Mexico. You might get $25 for the first coin, all of the others are worth about $15 each.
