not sure which format i should use, lol.

anyways, first pic reads around the edge: D.G.HISPAN.???ND.RBX+PHILLI??V.
    second pic: +M+V??.?UB (W or V)NU?+M+1745

So i'm just kind of wondering what it is and how much it's worth.

Edit: I just saw rick's site and saw that it is 6 reales, but how much is it worth?

close! It's really hard to see in the pic, but it can't be a 6 reales - they only come in 1/2, 1, 2, 4, and 8. I can't quite see the denomination in your picture, but I would guess that on the right side of the coat of arms would be 4 or an 8.

As to value, it very much depends. These coins are heavily counterfeited from the orient. If it's authentic, then it would depend on the grade. The M to the right and the left of the date should have a small o over the top - that would make your piece from mexico.

If you could get clearer pictures, there are a few people on this forum that know a lot about these type coins.

    Hope that helps some!

to the right of the coat of arms(going down): .MF+
    to the left: +6+
the 6 could have been a badly minted 8, or maybe it's just worn, though.

And the Ms near the date do have an o over them.

btw, It was found in Colorado with a metal detector in the early 1970s.
