Hi I'm just starting a Spanish coin collection and wanted to know if this coin is genuine or worth keeping. I picked it up in Madagascar years ago at a junk shop but I found after a while living there they were notorious for forging french revolutionary coins for tourists. On the face it has Hispanariarum*Arum*Rex*1770 and a coat of arms. I just wonder if its a dud or not? It appears to be gold or a gold mix as it hasn't gone green or anything. Apologies I'm new to this area. I usually collect Australian and pacific Island coins. Interested to know the history even iif it is a slug :smile spanish coin.jpg
