Doing some excavating in the yard and uncovered this coin. Been Googling for the last hour and have learned that this highly resembles a Spanish Cob Coin. While Googling I found this site, so I am hoping that you guys can help me figure this out. I havent had a chance to weigh it yet, as we dont have any small scales, I will update when I weigh it, it feels pretty heavy especially compared to like a 50 cent piece.
Any ideas what we have here and possibly a value?

About all I can tell you is that it appears to be a Spanish 4 reales. The pics are too blurry to make out any details or tell if it might be a fake.

See if you can get better pics and we can probably help you.

Don't you think that it is an awful good strike for a genuine piece?

Not if it is one of those minted in Spain. Normal for them.
