Just when I thought I'd identified all the coins with any value from my collection I came across this: Coinquest has the following advice: 40 CENTIMOS: 22 mm diameter, 0.135 Troy ounces silver worn: $10 US dollars catalog value average circulated: $200 well preserved: $35 for coins dated 1864 and carrying a small, 7-pointed star, multiply these values by 8 for coins dated 1865 and carrying a small, 8-pointed star, multiply these values by 12 I'm guessing the $35 is a typo (should be £350?). Wishing it was an 1865 (!) but still looks like it should be worth a nice sum? BTW, the green is not verdigris, it wiped off on my fingertip, maybe felt tip pen.
