I haven´t seen any "Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic" coins in looong time anywhere. Couple of weeks ago I saw 10 kopecks and 50 kopecks coins in different auction places and decided to throw my Krause out of window and start to bid. I got them both: 10 kop 1923 for € 2,50 (I was first and only bidder) Mintage 33,424,000;silver value €0,7 50 kop 1921 for € 10 (that was the first bid and the seller closed the auction for that amount) Mintage 1,400,000;silver value €7,15 I thougt that these are harder coins with higher price in lower grades too, but didn´t do my homework well?
These are going cheap for grades lower than AU. From what I see in the photo, you paid too much for the 10, and about OK for 50.
That is correct, eBay is the right place if you want to see overpriced coins, ignorant bid wars and greedy sellers. It doesn't mean he should buy that without waiting for a better opportunity and price.
Taxidermist and gxseries - thanks for your views. And Siberian Man - you have a nice set again! Soviet Russian period coins are quite scarce here in Finland so I have to take what I find . We have imperial period and 1960-1991 coins in every corner but early soviet coins are usually hard to get and very ugly condition at least.
