Sovereign 1895

    Can somebody pls give me an objective price estimation of this Sovereign. Also I am not shure is it Australian or not. Thnks!

    I can't see the mintmark on your photo. It should be on the ground above the centre of the date. It could be:

    - Royal Mint, London: none
    - Sydney: mintmark S
    - Melbourne: mintmark M

    Looks like there's an "M" mintmark to me.

    Definitely Melbourne (M).


    Mintage for 1895M is 4,165,860 ... not a rare year, but for value, it'd be at or about spot proce for gold (0.2354 oz).
