I did my bank trip today, exchanging $200 in searched $1's for some $10's, and then go to one of my other banks to buy more $1's. When i exchanged the first batch for $10's, i looked through them and found a $10 with the serial of 36363637. I so wanted the last digit to be a 6 lol then when seraching the $1's, i found a 76055060 and a 87344373. i mean COME ON lol fate is just throwing out too many carrots for me. when is she gonna let me have the real deal I just seems to be coming up a wee-bit short for a full repeater or full radar. so, the search continues ps i also found a EF to Au 1963A note, a star AND a VG 1988A note
Somehow it's a whole lot more fun when you find it in your change rather than having to buy it. But . . . U were so close on the 37 grrrrrrrrrr. :headbang: Someone out there has it.
spock, i buy $200 in $1's becuase its only $200 for me. It gives me an hour of fun over my lunch hours here at work. I just couldnt afford to do anything higher in denomination. Plus, i try to pull 1 from each district from each series... with the singles, it can get expensive (for me ) but if i were to do $20's... i just wouldnt be able to. It boils down to what you would be doing the searching for... are you looking for just star notes? are you looking to pull series/district sets from circulation? Are you looking for ladders, radars and other 'oddities'? When you answer those questions, and take a look at your budget, it might be easier to decide.
Aww man! So darn close! Those would have been some fantastic radars! Keep looking, you are bound to find a few some day.
LOL...when you fall to your knees and beg like a red headed step child!! WOW Daggar that was sooooo close!! Next time my friend!! RickieB
Oh, and i found 2 other 7 digit radars this week. 1 was off by 1 note, the other a few more... im getting close maybe today when i hit the bank i will be granted one by the 'radar gods'
red ... not any more was brighter when i was a kid. now its more like dirty strawberry blonde... if thats a color
