Can anyone give me input on this coin? I have no idea what is going on with this coin. My grandfather gave it to my dad.

This is a fake sommers island shilling. The real ones are 400 years old and can be worth tens of thousands of dollars.

You can tell its a fake by the thick beads on the coin (the real one will have many small beads). The pig on the coin would be a different shape on the real coin. In addition, the details on the ship are not correct with that of the real coin.

Also, the real coin would be hammered, and would not have the almost perfect circular shape of your coin

So, you have a worn replica/fake.
