...at least the copper ones found in most parks. I found these 3 indian heads all in one hole today at the same park I hit last weekend. They are all corroded badly. One is a 1905, an 18--, the other I cant read. All the fertilizer, duck and geese poop just kill the copper coins at parks near lakes or rivers. My best indian heads come outta old home sites. No silver today. Maybe next time. Jim

Olive oil soak, followed by brillo pad scrub, then brasso, then weld into a bracelet and shellac. Thats probably the best those coins can hope for.
It is still a lot of fun to dig old coins, especially Indians and Barbers (and seated, of course). Nice finds.
