Makes me miss my dog. His name was Nero (named after Emperor Nero), and was a chocolate Labrador. He passed away at age 12 of liver cancer. It hit me so hard that I haven't been able to adopt another dog, as much as I want one, because I don't want to have to go through that again. He was such a sweet and caring animal, and I miss him to this day.

We are hooked on this breed, Parson Jack Russell's , this is Lola numero 4 in line. Always painfull to say goodbye when they have to put down, first one at 16 year, second at 10 , last one at only 7 years , all males who didnt listen, Our first bitch who listens 100% , she is almost 1 year now, what a blessing.
Dogs and cats are both great (I grew-up with both) ... but currently, I've become more of a dog person (they like the outdoors, so it forces you to get off your butt and take them outside for a nice walk once in a while) Buster Larry They both rock!! Oh, and here are a couple of hound-coins to keep this post honest ...
I have a Boxer named Thor, now to keep him company a Rottie which is aptly named Loki. I have NO TIME for walks during months I work (April-end of Nov.) so to make it up to the boys, they get a 10 km. hike every day in winter months. We have snowmobile trails close to my house, so they can have fun "off leash" So far, I have mostly Rottweilers, these are big sucks and best described as the "3 B's... Beauty/Brawn/Brains!!!! I only have one "Doggie " coin....sorry it is modern! AV 250 Kwacha 1979 Zambia (part of the 24 Country Wildlife Conservation Series issued from 1974-1979) Show Cape Hunting Dog 34mm./ 33.40g.

My cat was named Sabina. She lived to the ripe age of 21. Must be a record! Dogs can be found on coins, but cats? None that I can think of at the moment.
