Going through rolls of pennies from the bank. Hardly any wheats. Yet there was many 1959's. Ever feel like just picked up somebody elses roll search rejects?
Went through a nearly empty box of halves on Monday and several of the coins had initials and a date written on them. Definitely another searcher in my midst.
I would love to go thru some of the so-called experts coins. They claim that they only spend a couple of seconds on each coin. They must be checking for the most common of varieties. (no-ones that good)
If I'm only looking for silver and low run years, it only takes me about a second per coin, max, not including unrolling and whatnot.
With a good, trained eye and knowing what is key without a list, someone can probably do that in 2-3 seconds. I'll let you know how I do tomorrow. Or better yet, maybe they have some of those jewelers glasses with the magnifying glass built in.
