Hi, I usually post US coins, but here are some world pickups from the last coin club auction. I just bid them up to help the club....:mouth: and ended up with some. I have little idea as to value, etc. Just interesting to me at the time

I liked the set, I figured it had to worth the $16. A WWII buff kept up with me until he realized I was one of Spock's friends :eek:and he backed off!!

I bought a 1971 sealed 5 coin Vatican set also, but it looked a little boring so I didn't post it.

Nice looking set but it would have looked even better with something other than the Churchill crown in the center LOL As for the Biafran £1 note that I think is lovely :D

Georgiansilver, The date is 1934. I can see I will have to search more information on this set. Interesting.

Wonder why they put the GV fishscale in that set? Surely wasn't in circ by the 1960's.

Shows how little I knew about it. I did a google and also checked on ebay and I find there are several combination sets ranging from 5 coins to 11. I had assumed it was an original GB mint issue. I know the previous owner picked it up himself on a trip there in the 1970s he said. I do like some mystery with my coins:smile If the GV was a mercury dime, I would say it was EF or better.

1934 sadly not a rare date but looks like a good coin. Best wishes, Mike.
