Hi all! Some new coins just arrived from eBay, and I just thought I'd share what they are Claudius II Gothicus mule antoninianus, with DIVO CLAVDIO obverse and SECVRIT AVG reverse. Much nicer in hand than my photos suggest *Technically* Tetricus II As Augustus. My photo of this was so bad, I've had to use the seller's pics. This coin is also definitely barbarous. The bust definitely appears to be Tetricus II, and the obverse appears to read IMP C (?) TETRICVS AVG. I'm not sure what the reverse is, but it might be something along the lines of MO[NETA A]VG, or maybe AB[VNDANTIA A]VG. I don't know, so if you have any thoughts, let me know Another Tetricus II Antoninianus, but this one is official. It has the obverse of Tetricus II, but the reverse of a Tetricus I coin: COMES AVG. My fouree Philip I antoninianus that I made a post about recently. I can't find any other example of an antoninianus with the reverse "SECVRITAS PERPET". I suspect it was copied from a sestertius of Gordian III, such as this one. And finally, a pretty poor condition antoninianus of Macrianus, ROMAE AETERNAE reverse. Surprisingly, I won this coin (and 3 others) for the opening bid of £4.99 (so about £8 ($11) after postage). It was from a very popular UK seller too, so I'm not sure how it slipped through the net. There was another coin that hasn't arrived yet - a scarce error antoninianus of Probus. I'll make a post about it when it arrives Show me some coins you got on eBay recently!
I like the Victory on the reverse of your Tetricus II. I picked one of them up off of ebay recently-ish as well. Not as well engraved as yours.
@Harry G.....Nice pickups! A lovely mix...Congrats! Recently On ebay I've grapped a simple Harsha Deva coin to add to my Kashmir obsession (like I haven't got enough!)...Very common but liked the two tone colouring. Harsha 1089-1101 AD (1st Lohara dynasty) Copper Kaserah or Punchshi 17mm (5.39gr) This neat little Sri omkara coin being the three-petaled flower eye variation (thanks @Finn235 for id) was a nice score...
