So I have two Kennedy/Lincoln head pennies, and I don't think they're worth much. But I also have this 1977 Apollo 14 penny, with "Fra Mauro" - the location of the moon near where they landed, and "2-5-71" the date of the mission, plus the moon with the American flag and space capsule flying around it, and I suppose that's the control room underneath. Found this in circulation when I was a kid and was always curious about it. I think I found another online at some point. Finally there is one where Lincoln is saying in a speech bubble "test test test" What the? I can't find anything on that one. I attached the images of the pennies. Your thoughts please, oh wise ones.
There are probably hundreds or thousands of different designs that have been created to counterstamp on coins, especially Cents. These are simply exunomia. Not worth much unless there are collectors that try to assemble different types of these sort of images. Here is a thread I created of Counterstamped Cents that I have - https://www.cointalk.com/threads/lincoln-and-kennedy-cent-counterstamp.288683/
I was a kid back when those were popular and remember them being glued to kiddie rings and put in vending machines for sale for something like a dime or quarter. A lot of them will have traces of glue on the back. I still find them in roll searches, I probably have about 30 of the 50 states, lots of Kennedy's including different heads, lots of Masonic pennies etc.
I didn't realize there were so many stamped cents. Well I'll keep them, and my 'mic test' penny is kinda wacky.
