Here are a few Morgan purchases from Long Beach. Always looking for thoughts on the grades and opinions of the coins. Fire away!! 1885-O different color and I liked it. 1890-O 1885-P did not need another of these but it was nice. 1883-P just dont find many of these for sale even though the pops look plentiful 1885-O see 1885-P 1888-P love the end roll toning slab scuff around D in Dollar
These are all from the show, being a CAL resident the extra 8-9% for taxes does not help me. I was way under on my auction bids.
In order - 63, 63, 63, 64, 64, 65. The middle 4 I will assume are DMPL because I can't imagine you buying them otherwise.
Doug- I guess I am a little predictable. A few more guesses and I will show the grades, good guesses so far.
Aren't we all when it comes to our taste in coins ? That right there is one of the primary reasons it is so important to us as collectors to establish relationships with dealers. For in just a short time a dealer will know, just by looking at a coin, whether you will like it or not. And because he exposed to vastly larger number of coins on a daily basis than you are, he thus has a huge advanatge when it comes to finding coins that you will like and be happy to own. That gives you a huge advantage when it comes to assembling your collection. Some collectors just never grasp what I see as a very basic concept. They would be better off if they did
I think I have already seen the grades on a different thread on Cointalk. :thumb:some Gemmy Morgan Dollar 4 sure!!! :kewl:
I almost went to the one in Long Beach; but I plan on going to a coin show here in San Diego. I had no idea we had to pay a sales tax when purchasing coins at these shows. Ugh....
