I found these coins in circulation, the top is a 1996-d with no plating, its also slighty large and is very thick for a penny. Left is a 1983-d, partly plated, right is a 1985-d, no plating. Anyone know anything about these, possible values?? thanks~

Its hard to tell from your photo. Do the coins in question have any pitting (mini craters). If so, the coins mostly like had the plating removed in an acid bath, which is pretty common. Genuine mint plating errors do exist, but they are not that common and will need an experts eye.

When I was in Highschool we used to sand blast them with walnut shells, they would look really cool then fade to the darker color you see there. That might be it?

who knows, i think the 1996 one is the most authentic of the bunch becuase of its unusual thickness... I dont know how to tell are really authentic though..
