Nice Ike's, Larry! If I were forced to choose, I really like the looks of the first one over the others.
Only one I got. I figured I need one for a type set of dollars so I got a pretty one. I don’t collect any clad. So this is it. Type set of silver type dollars complete except a gobrecht
Nice toned Ikes! I've owned a few over the years but haven't had the right keeper yet, so the search continues.
I found these in an old dansco album, submitted them to pcgs just to get the truviews. They are purdy if you ask me. I'm gonna sell them, currently working on a buffalo registry set I just started, and of course my raw au-bu indian head cent series. Last one is my favorite, although weirdly it got a PR64... Still my favorite.
I've never cared or paid much attention to medals, but that one is a beauty with that toning. Nice coin!- er, medal.
My father was stationed at Landstuhl Army Hospital from 1953 to 1957. I was about 6 when I got there. I remember listening to the radio and the announcer was screaming, "Ike is now our President" or something like that. It didn't mean too much then, but now I remember listening. Anyway, my father was quite a fan of President Eisenhower. He had collection about 80 Eisenhower dollars. Many of them look pretty good. My Dad wasn't too much in collecting Proofs.
