The "coin" with the Chinese characters could be either Chinese or Japanese.

The translation is "Moon World" or "Lunar World".

It is probably a token from a game or amusement business.

Gessekai (月世界) is the name of a famous Japanese snack food made in Toyoma Prefecture. It is also the name of a famous Chinese-style Japanese restaurant in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, and a "traditional club" in Kobe. So who knows, it could also be the name of some amusement center.
