Im working a deal for some bills, Im not sure what the value is on these. None of them are in great condition, but Im not wanting to rob this guy either as we trade for other items all the time. What would you all say is fair. 2006 $5 star IA03246226* 1950A $5 ...D 63325114 A 1963 red seal $5 ...A 52790396 A 1934C silver certificate $5 ...N 06540671 A 1935B silver certificate $1 ...E 71056512 D 1935D silver certificate $1 ...B 71431429 G
Prices are above. These are just my opinions and I haven't bought any of these notes in at least 2 years so I don't know if prices have possibly gone up or down. I hope this helps.
I think tbudwiser is pretty close. I don't see any rarities or high quality there, so as long as you pay close to face, it's a good deal.
Don't get your hopes up too high. I've been trying to sell some fives and I had to almost "fire sale" them for $6.00 each and the silver certificates are really not worth more than $1.25 each unless there is some type of letter combo or wide or narrow type. But good luck anyway.
+1 on the other comments. Don't expect too much at all. For all I know, someone might not even pay a dollar extra for that 1950A $5 or the 2006 $5 *. I would pay upto $2 extra for both, and you just got lucky with that $5 * being the second run of 640k. The silver certificates and red seals, you should get more lucky with them. If you aren't trying to rob him, I'd sell him those for no more than a couple extra bucks each at the most. If you were in it to get youself a good deal, I'd have him make you the offer first. Especially for things like these, some people will pay more... Good luck with making your deal work out.
Im getting them from him, yeah the $5* is the real catch for me. Thanks guys, will see what happens with these.
Just for your general reference, I just got my third 1950 $5 from the bank for face today. This is all within roughly a month. We're looking at one 1950B and two 1950D's. They are all L12 SF. It was pretty bad shape though. It has a huge hole in it, but you know what they say: "You can't go wrong for face". Also within the month, I did get one 1950A $20. It too was L12 SF. The bank also has two 2006 $5 stars for me that I am waiting on to go get as soo as I have the money, because I already bought too many notes from them. One IA* and one IF*. I have several examples of both; but I collect all stars I can anyways. Once again, the IA* is not from the less common 2nd print run. It is from the from the higher print run number 1. So all in all, these notes that you are trying to buy are still out there.
I lied. The current 2006 $5 star IA* I have is from the 2nd print run of 640k and the bank has one for me from the 1st print run. I thought for sure that the IA* I have is from the 1st but its from the 2nd, serial number IA03341215*. I guess I just haven't checked it in a while and I thought I remembered it being from the 1st run. Oh well, its in my favor haha
