Would someone please help me...Look at this Lincoln... Is this an error of some kind?
and I also wanted to ask about this Quarter.. The edges/rim go around onto the front and back of the quarter.. and not just in one place but around all of it.. the groves of the edge I mean.. what this called... Does it make it worth much? Thanks.. woodman

Howdy woodman - Welcome to the Froum !!

I can't help much with the cent, based on the pics I can't tell what if anything is going on. As for the quarter, it kind of looks like finning to me. That is what occurs when an extra thick planchet is struck or a planchet is struck with above ordinary pressure and the metal is forced up inside the collar.

The cent has been damaged outside the mint. The quarter does indeed show finning of the rim, undoubtedly due to excessive striking pressure.
