This coin is known as the silver Centenario, it was minted in 1921 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the independence of Mexico. This coin is quite older. it's a Ferdinand VII 8 reales piece. The Reales system was used during the colonial period (from 1521 to 1821). One peso equals 8 reales.
