Hello everyone! Today I want to show you some commemorative pieces of the Weimar Republic, as I did some time ago in my Dansco Continental line album, but this time, the coins are proof. In addition, all of them are (and I will try to make them so in the future), in grade 62 by NGC. The reason for this, I believe that the grade 62 shows in detail the quality of each one of them. Of course I could simply look for proof in any higher grade, but to be honest, I don't have the trained eye of an expert to differentiate between a 64 and 65. So I went with what I think is a good grade. I started this challenge very recently, and I hope to enjoy it. I know that in some cases, there are proof matte mintages, which will be difficult to find. Enjoy it 5 Reichsmark 1927 Tübingen PF 62 ULTRA CAMEO 5 Reichsmark 1925 Rhineland PF 62 5 Reichsmark 1929 Constitution PF 62 3 Reichsmark 1931 Karl Von Stein PF 62 CAMEO 3 Reichsmark 1930 Walther Vogelweide PF 62 ULTRA CAMEO
I like all five. Love that they are cameo proofs and Weimar Republic, too…nice! …but I like the last one…the Walther Vogelweide 3 Mark the best…its’ reverse is most intricate… …thanks for posting and sharing…imo…Spark
Those are cool. A very interesting time in Germany indeed. Between about 1925-1929, Germany was the place to be. Before and after, not so much. I recommend the silent film Berlin: Symphony of a Great City. A great contemporary look at real life in Weimar Berlin. https://www.amazon.com/Berlin-Symph.../ref=tmm_blu_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
