So the box was sealed at '75 and these were in there? Wow.

No, there were 75 1961 Proof sets in a sealed box from the mint.

Oh, Okay. I thought 'wow - now THAT's one of the better Mint errors... I'll take 61 over 75 any day of the week :) Wouldn't even ask for a refund.

Yes, the box was original and sealed from the mint, about 35-40 of the dimes had similar toning, alot of the quarters also, the Franklins were all either white or an ugly brown, to my surprise there were no really toned nickels, this box must have been stored in a hot attic or garage, also there were several Lincolns with various degrees of bullseye vivid mint green toning.....

Considering the dimes and cents the condition of nickels and halves do surprise me as well. Thanks again for sharing!

Some beautiful toners you've got there. Are you planning on breaking them out or keep the proof sets whole?

They are going to NGC this week for grade,I've broken most of them out already, Im thinking there will be quite a few stars in the group, in hand they are vivid and bright....

I got them from a guy I was referred to by a friend, I also bought a box of 100 1962 proof sets from him, unfortunately there all gone now.....I have only gone through a couple of the 62's so far....just regular sets.
