I can help a little with the Canadian coins. The 1929 5 cent is not silver but nickel. It is ,however, potentially the most valuable of your lot. In $CDN VF-20 $5.00,EF-40 $15.00. The 1940 dime is .800 silver, the 1967 dime is .500 silver. The 50 cent is also .800 silver. The 1945 5 cent is steel plated with nickel and then plated again with chromium. Apparently some coins were plated with nickel only but that does not seem to affect the value. If I can give you any more information please let me know.
Two brown blobs are all I see. Try Photoshop or similar software to lighten them up and increase the contrast. Neither "Lugie" nor "Lucie" is listed in the 19th Century Krause as a country name, denomination, or legend abbreviation. France, 1924, Third Republic, 25 centimes, copper, KM#867a, Mintage 24,535,000, F 15¢, VF 50¢, EF $1, Unc $3 (Values from Krause 32nd Ed. 2005) Very, very tough to ID without scans/photos to compare with the various ID aids in Krause. Many Spanish coins (especially 1957 and 1975) have the date of first issue of the design where a U.S. coin would have the year, and the real date is in two tiny six-pointed stars at each side of the coin. Weigh it, determine the percentage of fine silver in that coin, and multiply by the spot price of silver bullion and you'll almost certainly have the retail value. My guess is you could count the number of undated coins worth more than BV (bullion value) without taking off your shoes. Many of the other coins were listed with the year or the denomination. Both are essential bits of knowledge for ID and valuation. Check your local libarary and see if they have, or can get for you, both the 19th Century and 20th/21st Century volumes of the Krause catalog, and then plan on an afternoon (or more) looking through them.
ithx fellas like i said i will be purchasing krause book. back to the canadian one i will do a scan now, maybe to determine value brb
ok here we go satoot that cioin is quite worn it is distiquishable though, just very strange having that stamped on it for some reason
I would grade it an F-12 which would make it worth about a dollar. Maybe we should look at the 1940 dime. Bill
jimmy - That coin with LUCIE stamped into it - is an 1863 French 10 centimes struck at the Bordeaux mint. But somebody has turned into a love token I do believe by stamping his sweetheart's name into the coin
