Heres some pretty rare errors I have up for auction right now Sorry I cant take good pics right now..so Ill just show labels for now Heres a satin(not business strike) sms 2008 Adams dollar graded by PCGS Heres another satin sms Adams missing edge error. this ones 2007 It also has a small grease strike through that was not acknowledged by PCGS Last one is a 2009 sac thats a double error. Missing edge lettering and Obverse strike through PCGS MS64 strike through the babys head! Since these coins are all probably 1 of 1, Im having a hard time estimating values? If anybody could provide some insight on this, please let me know!
I took a few courses on grading error coins. I also live in NYC and have access to lots and lots of banks! I have a proven system on finding mass quantities of new error coins.
Awesome! Any tips on how I can find them in North NJ? I dont wanna buy it off the mint website bc of the mark up
Is there a markup now? Too many abusing the CC airline miles scam? Chase banks have what you need my friend! TD has the coin machine to dump them after you examine them. Go to a few Chase banks, ask for a few rolls from each branch, flirt with the ladies. When you find the branch that has some errors, go back and buy the rest of the box! 9 times out of 10 there will be more of the same type of error in that box! Nothing better than buying 8 rolls and finding a few errors, then going back and buying the rest and finding dozens of more errors!
Hey Now!! No secrets..just a few loopholes. If theres a gliche in the system, Ill find it, and profit from it. What I really want to do is get an inside man that works in the rolling rooms! Id love to get my hands on bags of coins. Thats where all the real mint errors are! caps and busts and mules and brockage's... I actually bought a few from dealers on ebay that mislist or mispell. You may know more about the rarity of the coin than the seller? I sell my coins for very fair prices because I find most myself so its almost 100% profit.
I do this as well on ebay, an example would be: Moran Dollars Dolar Walkn Liberty that sort of stuff.
search through the categorys and look for errors in listings. Typojoe is a good misspelled engine. It takes some work. You would be surprised to find out how many people cant spell buffalo and Lincoln and washington Bufallo..Lincon..washinton..etc
Also look for items in the incorrect category... I've seen morgans in the motors category.... This is also a nice strategy.
but beware!! some sellers..like me, sometimes misspell coins on purpose! Ive been known to list a few Lincons myself from time to time. Ive gotten double what I would have had I spelled it correctly! sacagwea is a good one too!
People think theyre getting a deal. When MJ died I made at least a few g's selling Micheal Jackson stuff...not Michael. Buyers like to see other sellers prices against mine. Not too many people are going to have a Lincon error...but theres tons of people selling Lincoln errors. Some folks will never even find any Lincolns and only search lincon. if you search misspelled youll see that 99% of the mispelled auctions are smart sellers mispelling on purpose! beware I never heard of that in ebay motors...thanks for the tip!
But, But, But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,isn't a Morgan a Car? http://www.morganwest.net/pre_ownedstock.html Or is that a Horse? http://www.morganhorse.com/ Whatever.
