I just received my membership packet for the Society of Lincoln Cent Collectors. I have to say that I am very impressed! For US$25.00 I received a two year membership to the club, quarterly newsletters (the most recent of which were in the packet) and a copy of Dr. Sol Taylor's "The Standard Guide to the Lincoln Cent", which alone would probably cost $25.00. The book is amazing, I've read a previous edition, but this one containts a lot more recent information as well as new articles and research about the coin. I would say that this club is a must for anyone interested in the Lincoln Cent.

If you copy the heading of that post "society of Lincoln Cent Collectors" and paste it in a search thing, it will take you there. However, on that web site it states you must pay either $20 for just that book or $29.95 for the book and a 2 year membership.

I went back and noticed it is almost a 300 page book in the 4th edition. Sure sounds like everyone is getting into the Lincoln Cent thing. Possibly a great book but I have both of coppercoins books on Looking Through Lincoln Cents and if you throw in his free web site, I don't need to much more than that myself.

I have a question to anyone who may have some research on the Denver Mint in 1975. I have heard rumors that Denver was continuing to experiment with various alloys following the production of the 1974 aluminum cents, especially since we now know that at least one Denver Aluminum cent was struck. I would like to know if Denver produced any mixed alloys cent combinations and what they made. I would appreciate any information on 1975-D cents that may have mixed alloys in them.
Please return any information use conversations, no email addresses in posts. My thanks to anyone who knows anything or even possible information to present to me on some research I am conducting. Thank you
