The society of Incas was formed in Valenciennes, France in 1826. Dressed as "savage" Peruvians, members of the charitable society held a Carnival parade on Ash Wednesday, distributing food and items to the poor as well as collecting money for their charitable cause of helping the poor.

I love this token for several reasons. I'm mainly a world collector, I love exomunia, the piece was affordable and I learned something new! Polish_20230612_231820467.jpg Polish_20230612_231839255.jpg
