Looks like you have two Ansei ichi-bu gin (sliver) coins. The price seems about right if that's what you paid for the lot.

I've seen those offered for up to $50 on the Internet. But at the recent coin shows in Tokyo, they have been selling for roughly 2500 yen (about $30) each. Here is a 1-ryo set that I have which includes not only one of your coins, but several others, including two low-fineness gold coins. I paid roughly 20,000 yen ($250) for the set.
