What's not to like about this coin @ro1974? Forget about the likes. They are meaningless. Do you purchase a coin because someone else likes them or are you the custodian of a beautiful coin which you like? Regardless of the likes obtained, you must have liked this coin to make it yours. And I like it as well. That's all that matters. You and I like this coin!
i am lost from a destroyed denarius from 200, can i later sell my coin i fight for my coins it is not fun iff i lost from a 2oo euro coin
Its about creating a discussion.... people can look at pictures of coins all over the internet. You have to add something else people can talk about.

I used to have this "extremely uncommon" Philip II AE from Deultum (almost bordering on rare). It's the type of coin that you'd be lucky to find one on sale at any given time. Even on eBay it could be months before a single specimen gets put on sale. To most people this coin with the fat dolphin reverse might not be much to look at, but I really enjoyed my custody of it. I eventually gifted it away to someone in this forum...I don't remember who, but I hope they enjoy it as much as I did. Who cares if most people don't appreciate them, we know how rare or uncommon these little treasures are. This baby sure beats 100 common Philip II ants in my book Update: According to my records @Stevearino is now the owner of this coin. Let us know how you like your extremely scarce Philip II AE from Deultum.
My thread about my Romanus I. follis got more likes than my thread about my Justinian Solidus even though it was way cheaper So I did what anyone else would do, I flushed the gold coin down the toilet.
If getting too few "likes" hampers your enjoyment of your coins it sounds to me like you don't actually enjoy the coins themselves. You should be collecting coins because you "like" them - not because of what anyone else thinks.
Here is another example of how sometimes the number of likes you get on a thread about a coin doesn't make any sense at times. This superb example of a Trajan denarius got less likes on it's debut thread than.... This far cheaper and more common Sassanian drachm of KavadhI. In fact, that Kavadh I got more likes on it's debut post on this forum than my Julius Caesar portrait denarius, my Alexander the Great tetradrachm, and every other coin I've ever bought. It doesn't make sense, unless the likes happened to be because of the hot sex story about Kavadh I that I described when I first showed off this coin. Maybe that's the secret, a good story can make an underappreciated coin get more likes than a simple OP with no story of a more expensive coin? Or maybe the moral is that sex sells, I guess, because Kavadh I got something like 36 or 37 likes in its OP debut thread.
