Isn't this your peace dollar? http://cgi.ebay.com/1924-PCGS-MS64-...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item563cb21915 Just wondering...Mike
That baby is drawing some serious interest, and there is still lots of time for the passers by before the snipers come along to try and pluck it. I'm happy for you, and hope it goes from moon money, to mars money and ends up somewhere out of the solar system.
The high bidder has a high proxy bid. All the others are the maximum bids for those individual bidders.
lol...the first bidder and high bidder have a coded buyer name of...get ready for it... c***t how ironic???
Yea it seems weird about the bidding, I find it strange one guy kept bidding in $10 increments. I just want to make it known I do not bid on my own listings before someone brings it up.
They bumped it from 390 to 790 and then quit. Guess it is past their budget, or they will come back to try and snipe. I think I'm going to "watch this" just to see how it ends up. I looked at '10 redbook and it shows MS64 1924 at $40, right now at $860 it is 12.5x that. I'm not sure how current that $40 is, but if it's current, I'm willing to bet this ends up at about 18x. (gentlemans bet only)
Last bidder of 860 hasa Bid activity (%) with this seller:55% the first one is 2%, two differnt buyers, but I do believe you have a auction riser account, check out the 2nd buyers retractions......... only reason I know this is because we do it on cars we list on ebay sometimes. oh to add, the $860 only has 1 bid placed total on that auction.
GreatToning sells some amazing coins, both his own inventory and those on consignment. His auctions also generally reach incredibly high prices. I was bidding on a common date gorgeously toned MS-65 Walker the other day, and had to pull out at $600.
You don't see many Peace dollars toned like that. There are 34 people watching the auction, so there is no telling how high it might go. Chris
I believe it is against ebay policy to have another account to bump up the price/bid count like the a***i account did Definitely looks strange, a***i bumps the price and bid count up, then c***t w/ 535 feedback puts in a higher bid to make sure that is the account that would have to retract (29 retractions in the last 6 months) seems fishy
Incredible, ain't it, what some folks are willing to pay for pretty colors? Numismaster lists a '65 at about $165. My appreciation for toners has grown immensely over the past few years, but the prices for these objects of beauty are totally out of reach for me. That, and the fact that I just couldn't justify spending that amount of money on a quite common Peace Dollar....
That Peace dollar is anything but common. It is in fact rare. And how often have you ever seen me call a coin rare ?
