So im curious about the mint marks on these pennys, whats your opinion???

    Ok so the mint mark isnt there witch is normal for Philadelphia penny's, but these pennys look like they were supposed to have one but they're not there. I don't know any other way to explain it, so just take a look at the pictures please.

    They were both minted at the Philadelphia Mint. They don't use a mintmark. The area where the mintmark would be on your Cents look like stains.

    They all look like PMD, the 94 looks like it is Denver mint from what I see, looks like a nick at about 4 o'clock on the d

    the 1983 has zinc rot eating away the mintmark. very common event.

    If you don't mind here is another penny i think is beautiful. I've seen a lot of pennies rainbow colored but this one's different look

    looks like Environmental Damage but good news.. You do have a Misaligned Die strike on the obverse. That is a minor Minting Error. See the false double rim to the right of 1969?

    It really does not have a high premium since it's a common minor error. Depends on what a collector is willing to pay for it. Over the years I met coin dealers who save a few and offer them to me for like $1.00 or $2.00 each.. I collect them so I like to have them even though I know I will find them in circulation. But that's me.. others don't care much for them.
