This weekend in a little suburb of Tulsa called Glenpool is a small coin show. It's the 6th annual of such shows. I'd never been before so was my first. It was small and suprisingly crowded, I was happy to see so many people and even more pleased at the amount of young people that were there. Sadly I only saw a small, very small amount of ancients, all common and way over priced. Although, I was able to add a couple to my war nickel collection. This 1942 P when I got it home noticed some PVC damage but a little acetone soak took care of it from what I can see. Nice reverse on it though, and this is an upgrade to the one that was in its slot. The 1945 S, well I didn't have one and its almost full steps. I don't know how many members here are from this area, if there is did any one else go? Feel free to pile on, Any show pick ups that you didn't plan on buying,,, anything at all
I can only think of 2 locals that are members here, I could've seen them and not even known it. I think it has been atleast a year since I've really contributed here on the modern side, even though I follow it and add to my modern collection every now and then. I should more often than I do.
I tried to crack a joke... and failed. Nevertheless, it’s good to hear that there were young coin collectors too!
Actually the center of the bottom 3 steps are not there. So yeah 2 full steps, lol. My photo skill sucks to say the least and struggle with lighting. Theres a lot of shadows.
